 PAMF has served the metal finishing community for many years and continues to do so. It is the local affiliate of the National Association of Metal Finishers and serves eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland.
Perhaps its greatest service to the members of PAMF and NAMF are its dinner meetings, which offer the opportunity to meet socially with others in the metal finishing business and to hear topics of interest to the industry discussed. These meetings are held several times a year at a location convenient to most, if not all, in the area served by the affiliate. Over the past couple years our meetings have covered such topics as hazardous waste and the environment, recycling, the economy, financial planning and accounting, computers in metal finishing and workers' compensation.
Through its frequent mailings, PAMF keeps its members abreast of the activities of the association, state and national legislative and regulatory developments, which affect business. At the meetings, members can discuss these matters one-on-one and share business experiences and leads.
The association also acts as a clearinghouse for inquiries from those seeking information on local metal finishing. Members develop business through these leads several times during the year.
But the greatest benefit of PAMF membership is the interaction among the members at meetings or through direct communications with each other. Members can find out how others are doing and how they are coping with the various developments in the metal finishing business.
